We decided to go to Osaka for a quick meal before we went to see the movie Red. This place has a nice atmosphere and is very spacious. We got hot green tea and to start off with got their salad and miso soup. The soup has seaweed and tofu pieces and was nice and warm on a cold winter night. In contrast the salad was cold, crisp and refreshing with a very flavorful ginger salad dressing.
We then proceeded to look carefully through the sushi menu to ensure we found something vegetarian and didn't accidentally get something with crab meat . So we settled on the AAC roll (avocado, asparagus, cucumber) and added on some extra cream cheese as a crab meat substitute. We also got the avocado-mushroom roll. The sushi was beautifully served with wasabi and pickled ginger. I loved the AAC roll, the cream cheese gave an extra kick. The mushroom-avocado roll....I didn't care much for.The wasabi was spicy...not in the least flat like I've had at other places and the ginger did a good job cleansing the palate.
The service at this place was excellent. The wait staff was polite. The food was reasonably priced. The whole meal about 23 dollars. At the end we got to choose a lollipop for dessert as an added bonus!! I would definitely go back here again.
